About this assignment
Key Responsibilities • Conduct forensic audits, fraud investigations, and financial due diligence assignments. • Analyze financial statements, bank transactions, ledgers, and supporting documents to identify irregularities, diversion of funds, siphoning, round-tripping, and fraudulent transactions. • Perform transaction tracing, fund flow analysis, and related party reviews. • Assist in insolvency-related forensic reviews under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC), including Section 29A assessments and avoidance transaction analysis. • Prepare forensic reports, investigation summaries, and presentations for management, lenders, legal counsels, and regulatory authorities. • Coordinate with legal teams, resolution professionals, auditors, and regulatory authorities during investigations. • Conduct background verification and corporate intelligence reviews on promoters, directors, and connected parties. • Utilize data analytics tools for forensic examination and anomaly detection. • Review compliance with applicable laws, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements. • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professional integrity. ________________________________________ Required Skills & Competencies • Strong understanding of: o Accounting Standards and financial reporting o Corporate laws and regulatory framework o Fraud risk indicators and forensic methodologies o Bank statement analysis and fund tracing o Related party transaction analysis o IBC forensic review concepts and avoidance transactions • Proficiency in: o MS Excel and financial modelling o Data analysis and reporting o Preparation of fund flow and transaction flow statements o Drafting detailed forensic reports • Exposure to tools such as: o Tally o MCA portal o ROC filings o Data analytics / forensic tools (preferred) ________________________________________ Desired Candidate Profile • Strong analytical and investigative mindset • Excellent report writing and documentation skills • Ability to independently handle assignments and client interactions • High attention to detail and professional skepticism • Good communication and presentation skills • Ability to work under tight timelines and manage multiple assignments ________________________________________ Industry Preference Candidates with prior experience in: • Forensic Audit Firms • Consulting Firms • CA Firms • Risk Advisory / Investigation Teams • Insolvency & Restructuring Assignments will be preferred.
